Giancarlo holds a degree in Economics from the “La Sapienza” University of Rome.

Fabrizio Arena specializes in strategy & organization, financial due diligence and corporate finance topics. He has helped major automotive OEMs in the development of sales strategies and processes. Fabrizio Arena holds a degree in Economics (Business Administration) from "La Sapienza" University of Rome.

Bio: Kurt Baes is a Partner in Arthur D. Little's Brussels office and responsible for the Operations Management Practice in Benelux. He has over 17 years of consulting experience in Europe and Asia/China, mainly in the energy & utilities, manufacturing and chemicals industries. His area of expertise covers market strategy, organization diagnostic and redesign, change management, post-merger integration, risk and portfolio management, strategic sourcing and overall performance improvement. Kurt Baes holds an MSc degree from K.U. Leuven and an MBA from Cornel University (New York), and speaks Dutch, French, English and German.

Bio: Niklas Brundin is Head of the Automotive and Manufacturing Group in the Nordic countries. He has worked for Arthur D. Little since the beginning of 1999, helping clients succeed in a broad range of issues, ranging from operations management to strategy and M&A. Niklas holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.

Bio: Yusuke Harada is based in Arthur D. Little's Tokyo office. His professional focus is on strategic planning and organization. He has major industry experience in the manufacturing and high-technology industries, as well as in the automotive industry. Yusuke holds a B.E. in Metallurgy and Material Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and an M.S. in International Business Management from M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management.

Bio: Francesco Marsella, married with two daughters, has a degree in Engineering from the University La Sapienza of Rome, an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan and was visiting student at ESADE Business School in Barcelona.Francesco is a Partner based in Rome and has a primary focus in the Automotive and Travel & Transportation.
In his career he has led several marketing & sales projects, reorganization and business model transformation, driving major national and international players from the formulation of the strategy to its implementation, with a recognized commitment for results.

Bio: Russell Pell is a Partner in Arthur D. Little’s London office, and leads the UK Operations Management Practice. He has over 20 years combined experience in industry and consulting globally, including Europe and Asia Pacific. He has wide ranging experience, working in transportation, and other industries such as industrial services, oil and gas and composites. Russell works with clients across the value chain, in areas such as operations and supply chain strategies, asset management, organisation development, performance improvement and transformation. Russell holds a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Biochemical Engineering from University College, London.

Bio: Klaus Schmitz is a Partner in the Information Management practice in Arthur D. Little’s Munich office, with an affiliation with AMG. The functional focus of his work lies in the areas of eBusiness, IT strategy, organizations & processes and innovation and technology.
Klaus Schmitz has a strong focus in automotive. Among his other fields of expertise are IT strategy development at corporate, business unit and functional level; eBusiness design and implementation; organization and process design; and process integration, as well as mastering innovation and technology. He studied Information Systems at the University of Bamberg and holds a PhD in Information Systems. He has been a lecturer for the universities Bamberg and Duisburg-Essen, as well as for the University of Bayreuth in the area of Information Management. Klaus Schmitz is author of several papers and conference contributions in the field of information systems.
