Akitake heads the travel & transportation practice in South East Asia & Japan, with deep industry knowledge as well as functional expertise in strategy & organization and corporate finance to help clients’ transformation journeys
Akitake is a Principal based in the Singapore office, covering the whole of South East Asia and Japan. He is a member of the global leadership team of the “Travel & Transportation” practice, leading the practice in South East Asia & Japan, thanks to extensive project experience, especially in the aviation and railway sectors. His main areas of expertise cover strategy definition, organizational design, corporate finance and transformation programs with a side-by-side approach.
Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Akitake worked for four years in an HR start-up company. Since joining the Arthur D. Little Tokyo office, he has supported clients in several industries. After two years, he started to focus on the Travel & Transportation industry as a “start-up” member of this practice, supported by the global practice team. After four years at the Arthur D. Little Tokyo office, he moved to the Singapore office as a member of the reactivating the Singapore office program.
His consulting style consists of “strategic direction with a long-term view”, “tangible results driven”, and a “side-by-side approach”. This is what he learned from past consulting engagements, and he believes these are “golden rules” of successful consulting engagement.
Akitake holds a master’s degree of science (physics) from the University of Tokyo. He is fluent in Japanese, English and Bahasa Indonesian (basic).
