About Jaap

Jaap is the Global Head of our Energy & Utilities Practice and has significant experience working for regional and global Oil & Gas companies.

Over his 20+ years of consulting, Jaap has supported several global and regional Oil & Gas companies and Utilities on various strategic, operational and transformational topics.

In addition to private companies, he has led several large-scale projects across Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia within the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors, leading to national-level transformative impact. Many of his projects have contributed to changes in country’s energy sector market structure, facilitated privatization and contributed towards increased operational efficiency.

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Jaap had long tenures with McKinsey & Company, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Arcapita Investment Bank.

Outside work, Jaap enjoys cycling, running, spending time with his family and kids, and keeping up to date with physics, math and cosmology.
