John advises utilities and rail operators on strategic risk-based arguments. Key areas of expertise are risk modeling and asset valuation.
John is a Principal at Arthur D. Little, based in our Cambridge office in the United Kingdom.
John has 16 years of experience in safety and risk consulting, serving clients in the utilities and rail industries, but has also worked more broadly with metros, oil and gas and energy.
His core areas of expertise are pipeline utilities valuation, pipeline integrity assessment, risk assessment and modeling and safety validation.
John has worked internationally across Africa, Asia, Europe, Hong Kong and North America.
John leads delivery of the risk-training services for accident investigation, which have been delivered to senior managers across the UK, Europe and South Africa. He regularly presents at conferences for the rail and utilities industries.
Prior to joining Arthur D. Little in 2011, John worked for Bureau Veritas. He also served for 7 years as captain in the 36 Signal Regiment, which was responsible for delivering in-theatre microwave communications.
Outside of work, John enjoys anything that involves being outdoors and trips to South Africa (which he has visited for business and pleasure over the last 15 years).
