Simon is a Partner on the Automotive team within Arthur D. Little’s Global Automotive and Manufacturing Practice. He has over 27 years of experience in consulting and is based in our London office.

Simon is an expert on the distribution side of the automotive industry, spanning the new- and used-car markets, fleet, after-sales, auto finance, and opportunities arising from the shift to new powertrains. In recent years, he has advised numerous clients on subjects including strategy, distribution transformation, business and target operating model design, organization design, omnichannel strategy, customer lifetime value capture, opportunities in the hydrogen and electrification space, new usership models, and IT strategy. He has also undertaken commercial due diligence work for automotive clients.

In addition to his specialization in the automotive sector, Simon has worked extensively in retail banking, payments, and electricity utilities, as well as the public sector. He has worked on four continents for large multinationals, as well as national businesses.

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Simon was a Partner at Corporate Value Associates, which he joined as a new graduate in 1995.

Simon holds a PhD in Radio Astronomy from the University of Cambridge, as well as a BA in Natural Sciences with a focus on physics and mathematics, also from the University of Cambridge.
