My name is Aida. I am an oil and energy professional and a mechanical engineer by training. I am also the mother of young Margot (21 months old). I come from Senegal (West Africa).
After three years working as an engineer in the oil and gas industry across Africa, I felt the need to make a change in my career. I wanted to prepare myself to transition from an operational position to a strategic-decision role. For that, I went for an MBA at HEC Paris, a leading business school in Europe, to equip myself with the right toolkit and to supplement my education. My advice to candidates is the following: your story is what makes you the perfect candidate. Naturally, during the interview process, you will go through tests, cracking cases to validate your capacities. Those tests are important, but most candidates will manage them successfully. Thus, what will make you stand out is the uniqueness of your story. So be proud of it and show it off.
