We reviewed strategies and approaches for carbon management across the chemical industry
As part of its efforts to be a leading chemical company in managing its impact on climate change, our client asked Arthur D. Little to conduct a detailed benchmarking. This was specifically to understand more about chemical companies’ with globally based assets efforts in managing responses to climate change.
The assessment reviewed a cross-section of base and specialty chemicals companies through interviews and document review.
The assessment also reviewed market impact, drivers for performance, costs of emissions reduction efforts, approaches for assessment, organisation/governance structures for managing CO2.
The project helped our client understand current practices, targets and plans in this area which are being considered in context with construction of its next generation carbon emissions goals. Our work also gathered chemicals intelligence feeds for creating the roadmap to structure management of climate change initiatives and carbon tracking across the clients’ worldwide businesses. Findings were presented to the C-Level client management during budget reviews.
