Peter H Spitz, founder of Chem Systems Inc., is appointed to Arthur D. Little's U.S. Senior advisory board

Arthur D. Little (ADL), a leading global management and technology consulting firm is pleased to announce that Peter H. Spitz has been appointed senior advisor to Arthur D. Little's Chemicals practice and has joined its U.S. senior advisory board.  After graduating from MIT, Peter held successive management positions with Esso Research & Engineering and Scientific Design Company.  Peter founded Chem Systems, a leading international chemical consulting company which he later sold to IBM.  Peter has over 30 years of chemical industry expertise helping multinational firms develop successful growth strategies while facing numerous complex issues, from portfolio restructuring to globalisation.  He has authored numerous articles and two landmark books entitled: Petrochemicals - The Rise of an Industry (John Wiley & Sons, 1988) and The Chemical Industry at the Millennium (Chemical Heritage Foundation (2003). Seventh annual report by Arthur D. Little and Exane BNP Paribas about the telecom sector in Europe forecasts 50 per cent mobile broadband penetration within five years

As consumer demand for mobile broadband services reaches critical mass telecom operators can expect that 50 per cent of the European population will access the internet through broadband on their mobile phones by 2012, according to the seventh annual research report, "In the eye of the telecom-media storm". Published today by Exane BNP Paribas and Arthur D. Little, the report is based on 71 interviews with managers from leading telecom and media companies in 12 countries in Europe and the USA. [...]

UK subsea oil and gas sector grows by almost 30 per cent

A new study carried out by Arthur D. Little and commissioned by industry body subsea UK has revealed that the subsea oil and gas sector has grown from £3.35 billion in 2006 to £4.3 billion in 2007.

For the third consecutive year Arthur D Little conducted the survey, which provides the only comprehensive review of the UK subsea oil and gas sector. It seeks to provide an accurate picture of the size and scale of the industry sector and its year-on-year performance. Some 800 companies, providing direct employment for around 30,000, are involved in the UK subsea sector. [...]

Arthur D. Little Limited UK appoints Mark Mulcahey as Managing Director and head of the UK TIME practice

International management consultancy firm Arthur D. Little (ADL) has appointed Mark Mulcahey to lead its UK firm located in London and Cambridge. An experienced telecoms and media consultant, Mulcahey will also take the helm as head of ADL's UK Telecommunications, Information Technology, Media & Electronics (TIME) Practice. A Victorian terraced home with a twist, No.1 Lower Carbon Drive, opened to the public today to provide Londoners with examples of ways in which they can alter their homes and domestic lifestyles to reduce the city’s CO2 emissions. Management consultancy Arthur D. Little worked with the London Development Agency (LDA) to develop the model home as part of the mayor’s Climate Change Action Plan.
