Post-merger integration and restructuring of a polyolefin producer

Our client is a European producer of polyolefins, with sales of about EUR 1,800 million, 10 sites in Europe and some 3000 employees.

Challenge

The client wanted to merge the activities of an acquired company with its own and benefit from the synergies resulting from the merger

Approach

We structured the project according to the five main work streams:

  • Administration and services
  • Production
  • Supply chain
  • Marketing and technical service
  • Research and Development and technology.

After analysing the existing processes and structures to identify opportunities for improvement, we developed a new organizational structure and coached start-up teams in their new roles.

Value

The new organisational structure creates the potential for profit improvements in the region of EUR 115 million.
