Bio: Rick Eagar is a Partner of Arthur D. Little and head of the UK Technology and Innovation Management practice. He has extensive experience in technology, R&D, and innovation strategy and performance improvement work across a range of sectors, including energy, manufacturing, transport, engineering, food & drink and government.
Rick Eagar holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol. He is a chartered engineer, a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and a fellow of the RSA. He has many publications on innovation and R&D management, and is a regular speaker at international conferences. He is the Chief Editor of ADL's top management journal, Prism.

Bio: Carl Bate is a Partner of Arthur D. Little where he focuses on Next Practice style creative disruption, digital strategy, IT strategy and business transformation. Carl specializes in addressing complex business problems and game changing opportunities, where there is a significant digital and technology component, and often where the approach is both disruptive and counter to conventional wisdom. With over 25 years experience, Carl has helped crack numerous intractable problems with market leading clients and has led multiple strategy and transformation cases across industries including education, energy, financial services, government, law, logistics, media, pharmaceutical, retail, telecoms and transport. Carl is a Fellow of the British Computer Society, prior chairman of its Futures Group, author of multiple Next Practice leadership techniques and co-author of the VPEC-T Systems thinking framework.

Bio: Mitch Beaumont is a Partner of Arthur D. Little in the firm's San Francisco office and leads the firm's Technology and Innovation Management Practice in the U.S. He has over 25 years of industry and consulting experience across medical devices & technology, biotechnology, telecommunications, and consumer & industrial products industries. Mitch is passionate about getting more value from R&D dollars and driving profitable growth by helping companies determine where to innovate, what to innovate, and how to innovate. His efforts have enabled his clients to expand into new markets, create new business models, deliver better products, and reduce time-to-market. He is an expert at building sustainable capabilities in innovation management, portfolio and product strategy, customer insight generation, and product development and management. Mitch earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He is also Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by APICS.

Bio: John W. Brennan is a Managing Director of Arthur D. Little, leading the firm's businesses in North America.
John has been at Arthur D. Little for more than 18 years and previously served as its Global Healt hcare and Life Sciences Practice Leader. In addition to health care and life sciences, John’s clients include leading private equity, food & beverage, consumer, electronics, technology, and energy/resource companies.
John specializes in investment advisory, mergers & acquisitions, growth strategies, financing, and development of technology ventures, technology commercialization, innovation management, and restructuring. John has negotiated, structured, and advised on over $10 billion of transactions during his professional career.
John’s private sector experience includes serving as President and Head of R&D for a venture-capital financed technology company and Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing for a $65 million private-equity financed healthcare services organization. John earned an MPH from Harvard University, an MBA from Northeastern University and an AB from the College of the Holy Cross.

Bio: Dr. Fabian Doemer is Partner and head of the Information Management Practice of Arthur D. Little Central Europe. He has 15 years of industry and consulting experience in strategic IT. Fabian Doemer focuses on IT-business alignment by optimizing IT strategy, IT governance, and/or IT processes. He is also an expert in all IT change management aspects, e.g. IT post-merger integration, IT process improvement and IT system migration. Fabian Doemer holds a PhD from the University of Stuttgart and a Diploma in Business Administration and Computer Science from Mannheim University.

Bio: Yusuke Harada is based in Arthur D. Little's Tokyo office. His professional focus is on strategic planning and organization. He has major industry experience in the manufacturing and high-technology industries, as well as in the automotive industry. Yusuke holds a B.E. in Metallurgy and Material Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and an M.S. in International Business Management from M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management.

Bio: Michael Kolk is a Partner based in the Amsterdam office of Arthur D. Little and a member of the global Chemicals and Technology & Innovation Management Practices. The focus of his consulting work is on growth and innovation strategy in the chemical and other technology-intensive industries. He has been a regular author on strategy and on this subject for Arthur D. Little’s management journal, Prism. Michael Kolk has an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Amsterdam and a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from the University of Nijmegen. He also attended the executive education program at INSEAD (Fontainebleau).

Bio: Frederik van Oene is a Partner in Arthur D. Little’s Benelux office based in Brussels, and is a member of the Technology and Innovation Management Practice. Most of his work is focused on helping organizations enact the changes required to improve performance and realize their objectives. He has extensively worked in innovation, R&D and technology management, strategy implementation, and improving organization development and effectiveness in the chemicals, agriculture, aquaculture, pharmaceuticals and consumer goods industries. He has over 20 years of experience in management consulting.
Frederik van Oene studied at Twente University in the Netherlands and at Manchester Business School in the UK. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. He is fluent in Dutch, English, French and German. He is co-author of the books Third Generation R&D Management, published by Harvard Business School Press, and The Innovation Premium, published by Perseus Books.
He regularly teaches Innovation and Technology Management at IMD/ETH/EPL, Theseus (at Sophia Antipolis) and the Solvay Brussels School of the Free University of Brussels.

Bio: Volker A. Pfirsching is a Partner leading Arthur D. Little’s Munich office and working in the global Technology and Innovation Management Practice. The focus of his work lies in the area of strategic IT consulting, especially in digitalization, IT strategy, IT value management and IT governance.
Volker joined the firm in 2002 and has led a large number of client projects in Europe and other geographies, including many assignments in the travel & transportation, telecommunications and automotive space.
Volker A. Pfirsching obtained a graduate degree from the University of Regensburg, Germany and gained special knowledge in business engineering, e-business, IT security and information management.

Bio: Greg is a Partner of Arthur D. Little where he focuses on how emerging digital and enterprise information technologies can be harnessed to drive transformation of both the business and its internal technology function. He believes that the technology patterns and approaches that have been used by businesses in the past are no longer appropriate to the challenges they now face and that new approaches will have to be adopted if the full potential of the ‘digital revolution’ is to be realized. Over a 25 year+ career in technology, Greg has worked within businesses as an IT leader and for consulting organisations as a strategic advisor and intractable problem solver. He has worked across a wide range of industry sectors including retail, retail services, professional services, transport, logistics, media, central and local government. Additionally, he has led innovative programmes covering IT and Digital strategy, IT operating model, customer strategy, business operating model redesign and the IT interventions required to support merger and demerger.
