My name is Carlo. I am Italian and a Partner at Arthur D. Little who has benefited from the various mobility programs offered by the company. Before settling in Dubai, I had the chance to work across multiple offices in our global network throughout my career.

At the beginning, I came to know about Arthur D. Little in a conversation with one of my father’s friends, whom I had considered a mentor throughout my studies. He advised me to look into Arthur D. Little, as it would provide me with the needed management consulting experience, as well as a technology/sustainability focus that would match my mechanical engineering background and personal interests. After looking at the website and having informal conversations with some of the people working there, I was convinced that Arthur D. Little was the company I wanted to work for. Within two months, I had been accepted and started my long-lasting career with the firm.

What I like about my current position is the opportunity to engage in key strategic discussions with our clients at high levels (e.g., deputy ministers, EVPs of large utilities and CEOs of large family conglomerates) to steer their businesses or activities toward the achievement of targets. In the end, our consulting work can significantly reshape companies, industries and, in some cases, even countries. Not many jobs can offer such a magnitude of possibilities.

Our corporate culture is also truly entrepreneurial and collaborative. People are encouraged to make the changes they are looking for, whether inside the firm or at clients. Thus, if you are looking for an entrepreneurial environment, where you will meet and collaborate with amazing colleagues who could, at any point, become some of your closest friends, do not look any further. Apply to Arthur D. Little, be yourself throughout the interview process, and join our family.

While we probably work more than many would ever expect, the firm and all colleagues work together to allow the best balance possible between work and private commitments. This flexibility has, since 2008, provided me with extra time to support a non-profit organization in raising funds to sustain a hospital in Uganda (fully integrated with the National Health Service and run by local staff).

My name is Vidhitha, and I am a senior consultant with Arthur D. Little, based in the Dubai office.

I chose Arthur D. Little because I knew this company could offer me an unmatched combination of client exposure, industry expertise and challenging project work. And so far, it has delivered exactly what I was expecting. Every day I learn something new, and I am regularly surprised by my job, which is never monotonous.

I am also a new mom, and still able to keep up with the demands of a consulting career. I am grateful to Arthur D. Little for offering a good work-life balance and supporting me through this important time in my life. I started working again, from home, when my baby was two months old. This was possible because I was given the freedom to choose my work timing and encouraged to set boundaries.

This tells a lot about the culture at Arthur D. Little, which demonstrates caring and humility. We are not a hierarchical organization, unlike many other consulting firms. At Arthur D. Little, everyone’s opinion matters and can be easily voiced. Everyone in the organization is different, and we thrive on this. We do not advocate that all consultants adhere to an established norm. Hence, I would advise candidates to bring their true selves to their interviews (and, later, to the workplace), and not stick to standard “safe” or “diplomatic” answers to questions.
