Habib joined ADL in 2020 and is a member of the TIM practice based in the London office. With over 20 years’ experience in driving innovation in both R&D and operations roles Habib has the deep expertise in both innovation and operational excellence that is needed to build ambidextrous organisations. Since joining ADL in 2020 he has successfully led a variety of TIM and S&O projects for diverse clients including PepsiCo, Clorox, Henkel, GAMI, Etihad Rail and Metalsa. He has a proven track record of delivering across the full innovation value chain with a deep understanding of innovation strategy and how to build and lead R&D teams including, in 2019, his work supporting the UK government’s Covid response by building a UK manufacturing capability to produce 1300 ventilators a day, in just 8 weeks from standing start. He has developed new to world technologies and products for the FMCG, MedTech and Aerospace & Defence sectors and is a named inventor on several patents.

Prior to joining ADL Habib’s career highlight include; 5 years as a principal consultant at PA Consulting, head of market engagement and innovation for Vivace and head of innovation for Racal Acoustics where he received the 2012 Queens award for Innovation. He has launched two technology start-ups, been a visiting lecturer on Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Kingston University and spent 12 years working as a professional ski and snowboard instructor.

Habib also holds a PhD in applied materials science for environmental design, a 1st class Honours degree in industrial Design, is a professional program and project manager, APPM, SaFE, and SCRUM qualified and completed his executive education at Warwick Business School

About the research Having run for over 20 years, ADL’s Global Innovation Excellence Benchmark is an anonymous self-assessment best practice database, containing responses from over 500 companies to a series of detailed questions on innovation excellence.
