Koji is a Partner at the Tokyo office.  He is a core member of Global Chemicals Practice and heads the chemicals team in the Tokyo office.

Koji has served the chemicals and industrial materials sectors for more than 30 years boh in the industry and consulting sector. 

Koji’s main consulting focus is technology-driven business development for chemicals and performance materials, utilizing effective frameworks to cultivate growth potentials balancing differentiation in technology and adaptability to market dynamics. He is also actively working on transaction support and transformation with his expertise in corporate finance.  Recently he has had an increasing focus on sustainability to accommodate growing interest from the chemicals industry. 

Koji has been extending collaboration with experts in application industry experts such as automotive, health care, and electronics to cover a wide range of products of his clients.

Before joining ADL, Koji led the chemicals and energy team at a global strategy consulting firm after he worked as senior corporate staff at a diversified chemicals/performance materials company, where he was extensively involved in growth strategy development and implementation and also in M&As and strategic alliances as a core member.
