Vendor due diligence of the fastest-growing fourth mobile operator in Europe

Arthur D. Little performed a full vendor due diligence on the fastest-growing fourth mobile operator in Europe, which became number two operator after 10 years of operation

Challenge

The management team and shareholders of our client requested from Arthur D. Little a due diligence for an upcoming transaction.

Arthur D. Little had to independently review the full business plan of the company, analyze the country‘s telecommunication market situation and development, and eventually assess possible upside potentials in terms of new business opportunities.

Most of the growth of the company in its core market had already been performed; Arthur D. Little’s main challenge was to assess what could be a theoretical limit to further growth.

Approach

Arthur D. Little worked side by side with the client management team. The team challenged the client management on areas of their business plan that required additional backup.

Arthur D. Little validated different growth areas (e.g., ARPU, OPEX, churn and other revenue streams) included in the business plan, and additional upsides were also thoroughly reviewed.

Value

The transaction initially expected was cancelled, and Arthur D. Little’s document was used for refinancing.
