Stefanie Wolff

Program Manager Electro Mobility at NOW GmbH

Stefanie Wolff, who holds a doctorate in energy economics, is program manager for electromobility at NOW GmbH, the implementer of federal funding programs in the field of sustainable mobility and energy supply. As an e-mobility expert, her expertise lies at the charging station, the interface of energy and transport transition, and in energy behavioral economics. Her multi-layered expertise in transport and energy economics is based on international as well as interdisciplinary research projects at RWTH Aachen University. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport, she is responsible at NOW for the science- and implementation-oriented perspective of market preparation and activation of battery-electric mobility, in particular the electrification of fleets in commercial and municipal applications.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Gutzmer

Editor of the Automotive Technology Journals of the ATZ|MTZ Group

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Gutzmer is editor of the automotive technology journals of the ATZ|MTZ Group. After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, he received his doctorate in research regarding internal combustion engines from the University of Stuttgart. For more than 40 years, he was active in research, development and management in the automotive/mechanical engineering sector, mainly in management positions. For six years, he conducted research on internal combustion engines at the FKFS, Stuttgart, followed by 17 years at Porsche where he was mainly entrusted with management activities in vehicle and powertrain development before moving to Schaeffler. Within the Schaeffler Group, he held management and executive board positions for 18 years, with his last position being deputy chairman of the executive board of Schaeffler AG, until his official retirement. In addition to several years of membership in boards of directors and supervisory boards, he is a member of the National Platform E-Mobility and the National Platform Future of Mobility as well as an honorary professor at KIT, Karlsruhe, Tongji University Shanghai, and SWJTU Chengdu, China.

Peter Bering

Graduate Engineer, Engineers for Future

Peter Bering, a graduate engineer from Tübingen, works as a quality management project manager. His special interests lie in the transformation of the economy to climate neutrality in the areas of transport, buildings and energy. Thus, he not only privately uses solar thermal and photovoltaics in his energetically renovated row house, but has also been an electric car driver for eight years or 110,000 km. He is an active member of Engineers for Future and Electrify BW, an association for the promotion of electromobility in Baden-Württemberg.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Urban

Vice Director at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika), RWTH Aachen University

Prof. Dr. Peter Urban has been Vice Director at the Institute for Automotive Engineering (ika) at RWTH Aachen University since 2014. After studying mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University and completing his doctorate, he was responsible for a wide range of research and development projects with the automotive industry at fka GmbH as division manager for body and vehicle concepts. At the ika, Mr. Urban coordinates the extensive teaching program as well as the institute's research activities at EU level. 

The research of the ika is dedicated to the increase of traffic safety as well as the sustainability of future mobility. In interdisciplinary cooperations, the institute designs innovative vehicle concepts and mobility modules, which in many cases are made possible by digitalization, networking and automation in the first place.

In positions of responsibility at various European associations and advisory bodies of the European Commission, Prof. Urban is committed to the Vision Zero of a sustainably designed road traffic system of the future in which no more people come to serious physical harm. In addition to his teaching at RWTH Aachen University, he holds lectureships in Transportation Design at Pforzheim University.

Dr. Philipp Seidel

Principal bei Arthur D. Little und Leiter des Deutschen Sustainable Mobility Teams

Dr. Philipp Seidel is a member of the Automotive, Mobility and Transport Group at global management consulting company Arthur D. Little and heads the Central European Sustainable Mobility Team. He is a management graduate of Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt and completed a PhD with research on Corporate Social Responsibility, and an LL.M. at the University of Muenster. Philipp Seidel has over 12 years of experience with automotive manufacturers, suppliers and mobility service providers, supporting their transition to a more sustainable, decarbonized and circular world of mobility. His focus is on electric mobility in all facets, including vehicle charging infrastructure and the end-to-end battery supply chain from sustainable and resilient raw material sourcing to battery recycling.
