Mr. Sunny Yi is the managing partner of Korea and the core member of the Financial Service and Private Equity Practice. Previously, he was the CEO of Shinhan Digital Solution company and the CDO of Shinhan Financial Group, the largest Financial Group in Korea with an AUM of US$1 trillion, in 16 operating companies in 35 countries.
 
He has over 30 years of industry and consulting experience and personally led over 500+ business consulting and funding assignments in Asia. In the last ten years, he has been focused on digital transformation & change management, organization, and leadership design in FS industries. Two of the cases were highlighted in the Harvard Business School case studies.  
 
He also served as an economic advisor to President Park, GH, and Lee, MB of Korea and is a prestigious National Policy Advisory Committee member.
 
Mr. Yi is the author of 10 best-selling English, Korean, and Chinese management books, including Salesforce management, Recruiting and managing Executives, Transformation Management, Digital Management, and others. He is a frequently featured columnist and advisor for leading management journals, including the Harvard Business Review and Wall Street Journal. 
 
He was voted among the top 10 most influential management gurus in Korea, selected by Maeil News Media. 
 
He is well-versed in both business and technology. In business,  He has a DBA from Lausanne Business School and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In technology, he has a Ph.D. from Seoul Integrated School of Science, an MS in IT from the University of Southern California, and a BS in aerospace engineering from West Point, US Military Academy, where he graduated top of his department.
