Robert is an Associate Director in the Amsterdam office and a member of our “Energy & Utilities” and “Strategy & Organization” global practices. He focuses on growth and innovation strategies, with emphasis on the energy, industrials, and chemical industries, as well as private equity.

Robert is a consulting veteran, having spent the last 20 years advising senior executives in the energy industry, first as a partner of Booz & Company (now Strategy&), then as a partner of Bain & Company, and recently as an independent strategic advisor to impact scale-ups. Before his consulting career, Robert gained corporate experience through 5 years with Royal Dutch Shell in London and Paris as a business analyst and sales & marketing manager.

Robert holds an MBA from INSEAD, a Ph.D. in Chemistry and Physics from the University of Paris, and an MSc in Chemistry from Leiden University. In addition to his native Dutch, he speaks fluent French, Hebrew, German and English.
