Utku is a Partner based in our Istanbul office. He is the leader of the “Digital and Analytics” Practice in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, helping clients create value with data, innovative tools, and techniques. He serves a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecoms, manufacturing, and retail.

Utku’s topics of expertise cover:

  • Advanced analytics transformation (including capacity building and change management)
  • Artificial intelligence/machine-learning use-case deployment
  • Sales and service models in banking and telecommunications
  • Pricing and margin management

Prior to joining Arthur D. Little, Utku worked for McKinsey & Company in its İstanbul office and supported clients in Turkey, Europe, and the Middle East. He established and led its “Data Science” team in Istanbul.

In addition to his consulting work, Utku voluntarily supports start-ups, developing artificial intelligence and automation applications in Turkey.

He holds a BSc. degree (industrial engineering) from Boğaziçi University. He has hands-on experience in the R/Python programming languages, as well as key classification, regression, and simulation techniques.

Utku is married to Aslı and lives in Istanbul. In his free time, he plays tennis and develops software, algorithms, and mobile games. He likes reading about science and space.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AT THE CORE Digitization in service businesses has become the de facto standard, where the focus centers on creating operating models without staff involvement in sales and service processes. The same is true for banks. Under their digitization programs, banks have been attempting to cut costs of traditional sales channels (e.g., branch network, sales staff) by minimizing sales force size and diverting sales and services to digital channels.
